"I’ve been coming here since I moved to JC for drinks. I just tried the food for the first time. The burger was cooked to perfection and the fries were seasoned and delicious. The cocktails are always on point, even if pricey. I highly recommend this place for an American/southern meal, comfort food, and great drinks. We had pretty good service too. The bar is one of the most beautiful in jersey city, especially with the Christmas lights! Favorite drinks: midnight mojito, pear cocktail and anything with gin. Order a cocktail- you won’t be disappointed."

"We came over from Brooklyn on a Friday night. We were able to be seated immediately without a reservation. The tables were spacious and it was nice not to feel like we were sitting on top of the people next to us. The food took about and hour to come out, but it was worth the wait. We ordered the Tailgate Fried Chicken sandwich and the Verde Burger. The fries were cooked perfectly. We split the Bread Pudding for dessert. We tried several cocktails: Pumpkin Spice Mule (delicious), Hit the Road Jack, and Bad Apple. I look forward to taking another trip to Jersey to try more items on the menu."

"South House is an absolute MUST for locals and out of towners. We love going here and usually use it as our date night spot. Food is outstanding, the fajitas are solid, but the Wildfire Burger….killer. Drinks are their specialty and the bartenders are top notch. Would strongly recommend the Lily cocktail (from the movie they shot there) and the purple haze. The bar is huge with comfy seats and the basement is awesome. A Boujee billiards hall meets house party. Very cool and so much fun."
